See the sport of surfing as it’s never been captured before in John Florence and Blake Vincent Kueny’s second signature release, in association with award-winning film studio, Brain Farm. The first surf film shot entirely in 4K, View From a Blue Moon (http://ViewFromABlueMoon.com) follows the world’s most dynamic surfer John Florence and his closest friends from his home on the North Shore of Oahu to his favorite surfing destinations around the globe. From the dreamy blue perfection of the South Pacific to the darkest uncharted waters of Africa (and everywhere in between), Florence faces a broad spectrum of emotions as he continues to seal his legacy as one of the most gifted surfers ever. And while the young Hawaiian is pulled in increasingly different directions, there is no form of pressure that will keep him from his ultimate goal — to redefine what is possible in the ocean.

Asian Boss is a popular youtube channel that is headquarted in South Korea. Kei, the owner, and I both shot this video and co-directed each other to get good shots during the video. The shoot was quite fun and one of the biggest problems we had to solve was getting permission to film inside. We had to be very careful about where we pointed our cameras and which angles we took considering we were in a real spa.

MLK, now known as LV Global, is a consulting company in South Korea. I met with the owner and we discussed the scriptwriting for her video and what things to highlight. We found a spot in gangnam for the location shoot, perfect lighting during the evening and a nice color grade made the colors some of the best I've ever produced.

Rezi Rangers is one of the first projects I did for Rezi, and also the most fun. Running around a seoul university with a camera for a marketing stunt, trying piece together a montage video. When I got home I gathered the footage and decided to put it into a deadpool-esque madmovie. This was the result and I still think it's a great and hilarious video years later

Rezi finally launched their new software and we had to shoot a video for it. We chose a beautiful location near 마포구청 and I designed the set, as well as the script. Shooting at the right time was crucial due to the placement of the window, but with some clever HDR tricks, I was able to give the entire scene a lit and saturated view. We were considering to just take a screenshot of the software since it would save Rezi a lot of money in production costs, but we decided to go with animating the software pixel by pixel. We could reuse those assets later and the extra attention to detail really sets the video apart.

Bagelcode is a gaming app company with headquarters in Seoul. Matthew and the CEO of the Seoul branch wanted a video to attract new talent to their headquarters. We had a consultation about the goals and image of the company, as well as a few drafts of the script which I wrote for them. Luckily they were open minded and happy to use some quirky humor to explain the company culture. Using their equipment at their office proved to cause some problems, but they were really happy with the energy of the video and the portrayal of the company.
